Waiting for instructions

Day one: The sun is shining, the birds are singing. Waiting for the travel instructions. Spirits are very high but soon to be dampened!

Arrived safely in Oberstaufen. Meeting the other teams at the pre-rally party.

First stop: Pick up the jetlagged team members from Frankfurt airport.

The adventure unfolding

Due to the Syria travel warnings and the closure of the Syrian border to Jordan, the rally can no longer pass through Syria (original route = blue line). The rally organisation is diligently looking for alternative routes so that the participants can reach their final destination. The map shows the current alternatives being negotiated (red lines).

Putting the final touches

After cutting and pasting the rally car has now been adorned with a title and team names. Ready to goooo!!!!
